If you've met us, you'll already know that we're a part of the 'Clinic' family. Well, we're very excited to announce that Oneshoe is now wholly integrated within our parent brand. As we mature along with the rest of the digital industry, we find that we are working on creativity that crosses all disciplines.
It's complete integration for a completely integrated world. So please make your way to Clinic here.
Even though blogging started with amateurs every company or person with an opinion has a blog, you’re reading ours now. Rightly so, everyone has the right to be heard and the proliferation of the Internet provides the ultimate mass reach platform.
Utilising Twitter, Flickr and other microblogging tools correctly for the development of an audience base and content makes it relatively simple to foster communities that are loyal and have a willingness to comment. This naturally attracts prospective users to existing content allowing you to develop a relationship between your commentary and your business.
However, interacting with said community and making it work for you is where consideration needs to be applied – just providing users with relevant content is often not enough. They need to feel wanted, their ego’s need to be massaged and their input considered vital. You have to be active in their communities without too much shameless self-promotion, which leads onto the issue of trust. If it’s too obvious that you have alterior motives then expect a backlash as online communities tend to be both passionate and fickle, in equal measure… to cite Luke Leighfields experience as an example.

Large active communities and quality editorial content should command respect and allow you to garner further revenue via advertising. Returning back to the idea of trust your sensibly tailored content should allow you and prospective companies to market to your carefully created audience through advertorials and such. This may have monetary value, however, be prepared to defend yourself as your authenticity and reliability is put into question as Chris Brogan recently found.
